Facebook is testing a new feature. Reports were already coming about it, now it is almost confirmed. Facebook is working on a feature that allows users to hide the likes of their posts or photos. Like count will also include all types of reactions.
When you change the settings, the likes or reactions will be visible only to the user who has updated the post or photo on Facebook. In the same year, this type of feature has been tested for Instagram as well. The company is bringing it with the aim of strengthening privacy.
According to a report by Tech Crunch, Facebook will be the first to offer this feature of Like Counting in Australia. It will be started on 27 September. Tech Crunch has quoted a spokesperson of Facebook as saying that the company will take feedback from people for this feature and it will improve people’s experience.
It is being told that this feature will also benefit those people who are upset due to fewer likes on Facebook. Research has also revealed that due to low likes on Facebook posts, many people either shy away from posting or delete the post. Facebook’s goal is to give a new experience to those people.
Currently, its testing is going on and the company has not said anything about when this feature will be available to all users.
